Welcome to Peaceful Mind Counseling Services,
I’m so glad you found your way here. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, lost, or uncertain, know that you are not alone. Whether you’re facing trauma, anxiety, grief, or just seeking a path to deeper understanding, I am here to offer you a compassionate and supportive space. Healing is a deeply personal journey, one that begins by listening to the wisdom of your soul and trusting your intuition.
Together, we can work through the challenges you’re facing, exploring your emotions, thoughts, and experiences in a gentle, non-judgmental way. My approach is rooted in kindness, empathy, and respect. I draw from a variety of evidence based therapeutic techniques to meet you where you are. It’s my honor to walk alongside you as you embrace your authentic self and create lasting change in your life.
Feel free to explore the services I offer, and don’t hesitate to reach out. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on this journey.
Peace,
Therese Hensler
About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and somatic psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience, dedicated to helping individuals, adolescents, and families navigate their healing journeys. As the founder of Peaceful Mind Counseling Services, I specialize in working with clients dealing with complex trauma, developmental wounds, anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship challenges.
My passion lies in supporting people through life-changing transformations, helping them access their inner resilience, wisdom, and capacity for growth. I believe that each person has the potential to make bold choices that lead to greater personal fulfillment, compassion, and connection. I am deeply committed to providing a supportive, safe space for clients to discover and embrace their authentic selves, while learning to live more wholeheartedly.
In addition to my professional work, I enjoy spending time in nature, striving to figure out what it means to live healthily and intentionally. Outside the therapy room, I serve as a volunteer, board member, and mentor for several child-focused and community-based organizations. I’m also a mother of four children, and when I’m not working, you can find me hanging out with family and friends, decorating, or embarking on spontaneous adventures.
Through my practice, I aim to create spaces that foster safety, dignity, and authentic connection—both for my clients and in the world.
